The trading bot graveyard

32 crypto trading bots and terminals, ranked by the only number that is hard to fake: what each one actually collected in trading fees over the last 30 days. Pulled from DefiLlama on August 23, 2026. 12 of the 32 are effectively dead. Every figure below carries the date it was pulled, which is the part that is usually missing.

Why the numbers you have read are wrong

A trading bot's fee take is public and it moves fast. A listicle written during a bot's best month quotes a real number, publishes, ranks, and is then never revised. Two years later that same figure is still being cited, copied into new articles, and used to rank tools that no longer function.

The clearest example on this page: Photon peaked at $84.2M in fees in a single 30-day window ending 2025-02-01. Over the last 30 days it collected $656K. That is 99.2% down. Both numbers are real. Only one of them is current, and an undated figure for Photon is almost certainly the first one.

This page has no editorial position. A script reads the fee series and applies fixed thresholds. It does not know which tools we have a referral relationship with.

Alive and growing

These are collecting real fees and holding or growing. Ranked by trailing 30-day fee take, largest first. Fee take measures where trading volume currently is. It is not a measure of whether anyone using these tools is profitable, and most retail traders are not.

Diminished but still running

Not shrinking right now, but operating at a small fraction of their own peak. A tool in this group is a real, working product with far fewer users than the articles about it imply. We refuse to call these dead: a product taking six figures a month in fees is not dead, however brutal its chart looks next to 2025.

Fading

Down more than 25% against the previous 30 days. Declining usage tends to precede thinner support, slower fixes, and eventually a quiet shutdown. This is the group to watch if you keep a balance inside one of them.

Dead or abandoned

Under $2,000 in fees over the last 30 days, or under $10,000 while sitting more than 99% below their own peak. Some of these still have live sites and live Telegram bots. A working front end is not the same as a working business.

Questions

Which trading bot is biggest right now?

Axiom, at $32.6M in protocol fees over the trailing 30 days as of August 23, 2026. Second is GMGN at $26.6M. Source: DefiLlama.

Is BONKbot still big?

No. BONKbot collected $79K in fees over the last 30 days, against a peak 30-day window of $18.9M that ended 2024-04-08. That is 99.6% below its own high. If you have seen a much larger figure for BONKbot with no date attached, it is describing the 2024 peak rather than the present.

Why do these numbers differ from the ones in most articles?

Because most articles quote peak-era figures and never revise them. Across the 32 tools tracked here, the combined peak 30-day fee take was $473.3M and the combined current 30-day fee take is $80.8M. An article written at the top is not wrong on the day it publishes. It is just never corrected.

How often is this page updated?

It is regenerated from DefiLlama's public API on a schedule and every figure carries the UTC date it was pulled. The date at the top of this page is the truth about how fresh it is.

Disclosure. No outbound link on this page is a referral link. If that changes, links that pay us will be marked ref and this line will say so. Fee figures come from DefiLlama, are stated as of August 23, 2026 (UTC), and every one of them links to the source page it came from. Nothing here is financial advice, and nothing here claims any of these tools is profitable to use.
